Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 4 September 2026

OTPWave is built for lawful, legitimate use. This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) describes what you may and may not do with the service. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

1. Permitted use

OTPWave is intended to help you:

  • Receive verification codes for accounts and services you own or are authorized to access.
  • Protect your privacy by not exposing your personal number or email.
  • Test and develop your own applications and integrations.
  • Send transactional messages and generate documents for your own legitimate business or personal use.

2. Prohibited use

You must not use OTPWave to:

  • Commit fraud, phishing, identity theft, or any deceptive or illegal activity.
  • Impersonate any person, business, or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
  • Create, verify, or operate accounts in violation of a third party’s terms in order to defraud, abuse, or evade bans.
  • Send spam or unsolicited bulk messages, or engage in harassment, threats, or abuse.
  • Bypass or defeat another party’s security, anti-fraud, or verification controls in violation of the law.
  • Transmit malware, or content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually exploitative, or that harms minors.
  • Facilitate money laundering, terrorism financing, or the sale of illegal goods or services.
  • Resell, sublicense, or share access to numbers, inboxes, or your account for abusive purposes.
  • Scrape, overload, or interfere with the service or its infrastructure.

3. Messaging & content

Our messaging tools are for transactional communications to your own users, not for marketing spam or impersonation. You are responsible for the content you send and for having any consent required by law. We screen for high-risk content and may block, delay, or refuse messages that appear fraudulent or abusive.

4. Document tools

Invoices, itineraries, boarding passes, and similar documents are for personal, prototype, testing, or creative use only. Travel documents are watermarked as samples and are not valid for travel or for presentation as genuine, airline-issued documents. You must not use generated content to deceive, defraud, or impersonate.

5. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and take any action we consider appropriate, including blocking activity, suspending or terminating accounts, reversing transactions, forfeiting balances obtained through abuse, and reporting to law enforcement. Violations may also be a breach of our Terms of Service.

6. Reporting abuse

If you believe someone is misusing OTPWave, or a number or inbox is being used against you, contact us at abuse@otpwave.com and we will review it.
