OTPWave
Terms of Service
Last updated: 4 September 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of OTPWave (“OTPWave”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
2. The service
OTPWave provides temporary virtual phone numbers for receiving SMS, disposable email inboxes, transactional messaging, document generation tools, and a developer API. Numbers and inboxes are temporary and shared infrastructure sourced in part from third-party providers. We do not guarantee that any particular website or app will accept a given number or address, or that a code or message will be delivered within any specific time.
3. Wallet, pricing & payments
- OTPWave runs on a prepaid wallet. You fund your wallet in Naira (₦) through our payment processor (Paystack), and purchases are debited from your balance.
- The price of each item is shown before you confirm a purchase. By confirming, you authorize the charge from your wallet.
- Wallet balances are for purchasing OTPWave services only; they are not a deposit account, earn no interest, and are not transferable or withdrawable as cash except where required by law.
- We may change prices at any time; changes apply to future purchases.
4. Cancellations & refunds
- Number activations: you may cancel an activation and receive a wallet refund only while it is still waiting and no SMS code has been received. Once a code is received, the activation is complete and non-refundable.
- Rentals, document generation, and messaging are charged on use and are non-refundable once delivered or generated.
- Wallet top-ups are generally non-refundable; contact support for genuine billing errors.
- Refunds, where applicable, are returned to your OTPWave wallet.
5. Acceptable use
Your use of OTPWave must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy. The service is intended for lawful purposes such as verifying your own accounts, protecting your privacy, and testing your own applications. You may not use it for fraud, impersonation, spam, harassment, or any illegal activity, or to bypass another party's security in violation of the law. We may refuse, suspend, or reverse activity that we reasonably believe violates these Terms.
6. Documents & sample content
Any invoices, itineraries, boarding passes, or other documents generated through OTPWave are for personal, prototype, testing, or creative use only. Travel documents are clearly marked as samples and are not valid for travel or for presentation as genuine airline-issued documents. You are solely responsible for how you use generated content and must not use it to deceive, defraud, or impersonate.
7. Third-party services
OTPWave relies on third-party providers (for numbers, payments, email, and hosting). Their availability, performance, and policies are outside our control, and interruptions may affect the service. Your use of those underlying services through OTPWave is also subject to their terms where applicable.
8. Availability & changes
We provide the service on an “as available” basis and may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
9. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that any number or inbox will successfully receive a message or be accepted by any third party.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OTPWave and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to OTPWave in the 30 days before the event giving rise to the claim, or ₦10,000.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold OTPWave harmless from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
12. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, suspected fraud or abuse, or as required by law. You may stop using the service at any time. On termination, unused wallet balance may be forfeited where your account was terminated for cause.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date, and your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, and disputes are subject to the courts of Nigeria, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
